Robert is a San Francisco–based architectural designer with nearly a decade of experience working across scales, from university master planning to the finely tuned details of luxury single-family residences. After earning his Master of Architecture, he worked at multi-national and boutiques firms, gaining deep exposure to the realities of design delivery, coordination, and execution.
In 2023, Robert transitioned into digital product design, applying his architectural training to software built for the design profession. He is the founder of Hearth, a cloud-based platform that helps architecture firms organize, manage, and operationalize their material libraries, bridging the gap between design intent and real-world decision-making.
Outside of work, Robert is deeply engaged in ceramics and teaches wheel throwing at a local studio. He’s particularly drawn to creating large serving trays illustrated using sgraffito, a technique that involves carving detailed imagery through a thin layer of colored clay. He has played guitar since childhood and is currently learning the banjo, an endeavor his neighbors are still adjusting to.
